Our licensed dormouse handler carried out the first Dormouse box check on the reserve on Sunday April 4th and saw this lovely male weighing 18.5 grams which is a good weight for this time of year..
We are making small changes to improve the dormouse habitat so hopefully in the coming years the population of these shy creatures will steadily rise. P.lease remember that Dormice are a protected species by law and must not be disturbed or handled without a dormouse handling licence..
