Our Tuesday volunteer sessions are spent maintaining the hill so that chalk downland flowers and wildlife can thrive. This can entail removing species such as dogwood, hawthorn, blackthorn and privet which if left would eventually take over large parts of the reserve Tree poppers like this one are a new addition to our tool box and will help us keep them under control. Note the safety in numbers!
